Bloody Mess

No, I did not take any pictures of her! I was making her better!

We got to experience Evelyn's first really bloody accident. Sure she's skinned her knee before but tonight she bit her lip and it was just gushing blood. Poor baby tripped and lucky for her Daddy was there to catch her and keep her from getting really hurt, but she still bit her upper lip. 

Sadly, my first reaction was to scoop her up but to stare and comment at how much blood there was. I snapped out of it pretty quick and took her downstairs to get a piece of ice wrapped in a paper towel. The bleeding stopped quickly after that but Evelyn was very curious what the red spots were on the towel. 

*in a very squeaky high pitched voice* 

"What is that?!" 

"That's your blood, Evelyn."

*2 octaves higher* "Blood?!"

She calmed down pretty quick and all that was left to do was try to get all that blood out of her sweatshirt (I was in a black shirt so I didn't care). Thank you Oxi-Clean. It was a joy to watch the foam on the stains with it's magical like stain removing powers .
