Being the oldest at the park that day, he seemed to take pride in showing the younger kids how to climb and jump like he could and reassured him that they'd get it when they were 'big like (he was)'.
Evelyn wanted to do everything she saw her brother Isaac doing. She followed him up the big park and wanted to do the big slides and climb up all the ladders. She was a little full of herself that's for sure, but she was in a good mood and seemed to have a really good time following her brother.
She is not reaching for me, she's reaching for Isaac |
She was super cute today all dressed up in my favorite daisy dress (she did NOT want to take it off at bedtime), wearing her sunglasses and her crown. She loved it and I thought it was just hilarious. I have a tomboy daughter just like I was. All dressed up like a princess, but still wanting to play in the dirt and climb trees.
This is the mess the babies have been leaving me all week. Actually, this is the kind of mess EVELYN has been leaving me. She's been in a mood lately about cleaning-lots of them. And about the t.v. on in the background with the volume bar across the bottom...? if I turn it off it doesn't turn back on and a long time ago Evelyn broke the volume button so it thinks it's constantly being adjusted and therefore it never really goes away. I'm just grateful it was broke in the turn down setting and not up.
At bedtime Evelyn made one last attempt and putting her dress back on. Had it not been so gosh darn funny I would of put her to sleep, but instead I pulled out my cameras for blackmail later on in her life...
